Introduction
Today’s young women are starting their careers better educated than their male counterparts, yet, in 2012, young women earned 93% of the average hourly wage of men the same age (10 Findings about Women in the Workplace). There are arguments in today’s society about women in the workplace, and the equality they receive when compared to men. This website will provide facts and statistics on women in the workplace. With multiple view points on the situation an educated decision can be made on opinions of women in the workplace and there equality among men. From women gaining their right to vote in 1920 to the feminist movement of the 60s, multiple laws and acts have been passed to ensure the equality of women in the workforce (Women in the Workforce). Ever since World War I, women have been present in the workforce and a huge contributor the success of many companies. Although laws and acts have been put in affect to ensure the equality of women in the workplace, studies show, that to this day, women are still not entirely equal to men.
